Douglas Luiz's stint at Juventus lasted only a year. After a disappointing season, the Brazilian midfielder returned to England to play for Nottingham Forest, where he has yet to make the desired impact.

The Brazilian continues to battle with physical issues, which have kept him sidelined for ten matches, and he has yet to make an impact with either goals or assists. His stay at Forest will only become permanent if he plays at least 15 matches for a minimum of 45 minutes each, a condition stipulated for the obligation to buy from Juventus.

His experience with the Bianconeri was also hampered by physical problems: a total of 27 appearances, often coming off the bench, and without any goals or assists. This lack of productivity prompted Juventus to let him go after just one year, finding him a new home in England, where, however, results have so far failed to meet expectations.

Interviewed by the 'BBC', Douglas Luiz reflected on his past year: "There have been many changes, and it's been difficult both mentally and physically. Since I arrived at Forest, there have been three different managers, and it's hard to find consistency in form because everyone has different mentalities. When the manager changes, so does the game plan and the training style: some prefer lighter sessions, others more intense, and this was initially tough on my body. Now I need to focus heavily on my fitness, and I've changed my approach to recovery."

Finally, commenting on his brief stint with the Bianconeri: "I had a difficult year at Juventus, between injuries and disappointments. Now I'm really happy. I'm at a good club, a great club, with many friends, and I'm pleased to be here. I hope to find a way to get fit, for the good of the club and for myself."
