Luis de la Fuente called up 26 players for the games against Georgia and Turkey. For each match, he must leave three out of the list, as ordered by FIFA. For the first of these matches, the coach has decided that Dean Huijsen, Jorge de Frutos and Samu Omorodion will not dress.

Spain will play for mathematical qualification for the World Cup in Tbilisi and will do so, for example, without one of the key pieces for the coach. The Real Madrid centre-back, since debuting in March as a substitute against the Netherlands, has played every game and minute until October, when he was ruled out through injury. This is his first absence for technical reasons.

The case of Samu, on the other hand, is more than striking. Without Alvaro Morata among those called up, the Porto striker has not managed to find a place in De la Fuente's plans. The coach seems to be leaning more, for the time being, towards Borja Iglesias, although the 'Panda' was Samu's substitute in the last match against Bulgaria.
